    On November 26, 2015 Thanksgiving Day, What Do You Run For will hold the 4th Annual Music City Thanksgiving Day 8/4 Miler Run/Walk a race that will surely become a tradition for you and your family! The race will Start at the Nashville Rescue Mission, stroll through the streets of downtown Nashville, circle LP Field and finish right back at the Nashville Rescue Mission. Not only will you enjoy an exhilarating holiday race with your family, you will also bring joy to the lives of the less fortunate in Middle Tennessee by attending this race.

    Donate A Turkey to The Nashville Rescue Mission: We are asking everyone to bring a frozen turkey to packet pickup or on race day to be donated to the Nashville Rescue Mission! WE HAVE A GOAL OF 1,000 TURKEYS!!! All food will be delivered to the Nashville Rescue Mission following the race!

    REGISTRATION NOTES:

    • Must be registered before November 10th to be guaranteed a shirt and/or the correct size
    • Online registration closes on November 25h at 1:00 pm CST
    • Mail in registration post marked by November 12th
    • Registration fees are non-refundable and non- transferable

    RACE DAY INFORMATION:

    • Race Site: Nashville Rescue Mission (639 Lafayette St, Nashville, TN 37203)
    • Race Starts: 8:00am SHARP
    • Runners competing in the 8 miler will run the 4 mile course twice. If you switch distances and do not tell our timer you will not be in the results!
    • Race Day Packet Pick-Up:
      • 7:00 AM to 7:30 AM
      • PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RACE WILL START AT 8:00 am EVEN IF THERE IS STILL A LINE AT PACKET PICK-UP. WE RECOMMEND HAVING YOUR PACKET PICKED UP BEFORE RACE DAY!!!
    • Strollers and dogs on leashes are allowed!
    • THERE WILL BE A 1.5 HOUR TIME LIMIT ON THE 8 MILE COURSE!

    • Time: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
    • Location: Nashville Rescue Mission 639 Lafayette Street Nashville, TN 37203
    • Someone else may pick up your packet with a copy of your confirmation e-mail! This can be a hard or digital copy.

    • Overall: Top Three Male and Female
    • Masters: Top Three 40 & Over Male and Female Participants
    • Grandmasters: Top Three 50 & Over Male and Female Participants


    AWARD NOTES
    You are allowed to claim a prize in only one category
    All awards are given out within 30 minutes after the last eligible winner crosses the finish line
    You must be present to claim award- no exceptions
    No awards will be mailed after race, under any circumstances

    Road Closures

    Following God's command to love our neighbor as ourselves, the Nashville Rescue Mission seeks to help the hurting of Middle Tennessee by offering food, clothing and shelter to the homeless and recovery programs to those enslaved in life degrading problems. Our goal is to help people know the saving grace of Jesus, and through Him, gain wisdom for living, find fulfillment in life and become a positive part of their community.
